Blake's first week

Blake is such a little angel! He is the most content little guy and just quietly looks around or sleeps until he needs to be fed again, so I still get lots of one on one Parker time. Blake is a great sleeper at night, so you would think we'd be getting lots of sleep too.... but, Parker has started to get up every night with night/sleep terrors, and NOTHING will calm him down. Has anyone else ever had to deal with these with their kids??? Let me know what to do. I am getting really sleep deprived:) Besides the sleeping issues, we are doing great and Chad and I are absolutely loving life with our two little boys. I can't believe that little Blake is already over a week old! He is growing up way too fast.

Jeff had them after Darcy was born and will still have night terrors on occasion. He wakes up wailing and wailing. Fortunately, he is consoled when one of us goes in, talks to him a little bit and gives him a drink of water. We just tell him we love him and he is safe here. Best of luck! Sleep depravation with a newborn is hard enough.

Oh shoot, I was hoping the night terrors would have calmed down by now!! You guys gotta sleep! I think I used to get them once in a while but I was like 10, haha. I love seeing pictures of little Blake!!

Blake is so adorable. I look at his picture and feel like he is older than 1 week because he's so much bigger than Kami ever was. How is life adjusting to two kiddos? I'm a little nervous. I'm sorry Park has been having night terrors. Kamryn will sometimes wake up from a bad dream and we just hold her tight until she falls asleep. Good luck with those two perfect boys.

Em, he is so cute. I can't believe he weighed over 8 pounds! Jadi used to have night terrors and they were horrible. I even called the doctor about them and he said she would grow out of them. They lasted a good month and now she never gets them. She really sounded like she was in pain or something but when I would ask her about them in the morning she didn't remember them at all. SO good luck hopefully they will end soon.

both my boys have had night terrors and different things helped them. for isaac giving him some water and just sitting with him calmed him down. with mac I actually offer to take him to macdonalds if he stops crying. which he does and then goes right back to sleep. From the psychology aspect they believe night terrors are caused by anxiety (prolly over the birth of the new baby) so you could maybe work on making him feel less anxious about that. (I know, easier said than done). I also recently read an article that suggested that they occur when the child hasn't had enough sleep during the day, so maybe he needs an extra nap. Good luck!!

Cutie patutie! Blake is adorable. Glad he is sleeping well and such a nice little baby. Life with two boys is so much fun!
My niece had night terrors really bad...I will talk to my sis in law and see if she has any suggestions

Carly started doing the same thing after Tyler was born. It's crazy b/c your child just starts screaming in the middle of the night. Brandon and I would get up and comfort her and sometimes lay in her bed until she fell asleep. She still has them occasionally. Last night she woke up upset b/c "an octopus was tickling her!" :) I've basically given up on getting enough sleep.
